I've had these over a year, battery is still fine. You can adjust the grain size. Course pepper, sure. Want it fine , simple twist. Same with salt. Perhaps it could hold more, but it's easy to fill so no big deal. They're very easy to use. However, one of them "sticks" quite regularly so I have to be prepared to quickly move it off the food or we will surely all have hypertension from the amount of salt. I almost gave it three stars not only because of this, but because I actually reached out to the manufacturer for some troubleshooting tips. Crickets... That was weeks ago. I'm not sure if this is common with this product, I may have just received a faulty one. They are very pretty though and come very nicely packaged for gift giving. Just include a warning note to the recipient... :)The grinders work well and are easy to adjust for the grind size. The light is nice to see how much is coming out. The one drawback is the capacity of the grinders. We use a lot of pepper and are filling this every week or two. Hope they stand up to the wear and tear better than other grinders.We had to return the first one we ordered as it was difficult to depress down the tip for it to operate. They quickly issued me a refund and returned it and the replacement came and works wonderfully. Love love the Shaker. Would definitely recommendVery nice color, easy to fill.
